Purpose

  • The IBPS CRP PO/MT (Common Recruitment Process for Probationary Officers/Management Trainees) exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for recruiting officers in public sector banks in India.

    3. Select the option “Click Here for New Registration”.

Elgibility Criteria

  • Age Limit:

    • Minimum: 20 years
    • Maximum: 30 years (Relaxation for SC/ST, OBC, PWD, and other categories as per government norms)
  • Educational Qualification:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

    Exam Structure

    • Preliminary Exam:

      • English: Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Error Spotting.
      • Quantitative Aptitude: Arithmetic, Simplification, Data Interpretation, Algebra.
      • Reasoning Ability: Puzzles, Syllogisms, Seating Arrangements, Blood Relations.

      Main Exam:

      • Reasoning: Advanced puzzles, Input-Output, Logical Reasoning.
      • Computer Aptitude: Basics of Computer, Internet, Networking.
      • General Awareness: Banking, Financial Awareness, Current Affairs.
      • English Language: Writing skills, Advanced Comprehension.

      Selection Process

      1. Preliminary Exam

      • Total Marks: 100
      • Duration: 1 hour
      • Sections:
        • English Language: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
        • Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Questions (35 Marks)
        • Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks)

      2. Main Exam

      • Total Marks: 225
      • Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes

      3. Interview

      • Total Marks: 100 (final weightage: 20%).

      Final Selection: Combined scores from the Mains (80%) and Interview (20%).

      Salary and Benefits

      • Starting Basic Pay: ₹36,000
      • Increment: ₹1,490 annually for the first 7 years
      • After 7 years, Basic Pay becomes ₹46,430, with further increments every 2 and 7 years.
      • Dearness Allowance (DA): ~40% of Basic Pay (varies quarterly based on inflation).
      • House Rent Allowance (HRA):
        • 7% to 9% of Basic Pay (depending on the city).
        • Metropolitan cities: 9%
        • Semi-urban areas: 8%
      • Ranges from ₹52,000 to ₹55,000 per month in metropolitan areas after adding allowances.
      • Net In-Hand Salary: ₹42,000–₹47,000 per month after deductions like NPS, taxes, etc

      Preparation Tips

      • Understand the syllabus for both Prelims and Mains.
      • Focus on professional knowledge, especially for Mains.
      • Practice mock tests and analyse performance.
