Purpose

  • The IBPS RRB (Regional Rural Bank) Examination is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for recruitment in Regional Rural Banks across India. It offers opportunities in various posts under Officer Scale I, II, III, and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) roles.

Elgibility Criteria

AGE LIMIT

    1. Office Assistant: 18–28 years
    2. Officer Scale I: 18–30 years
    3. Officer Scale II: 21–32 years
    4. Officer Scale III: 21–40 years
  • Education Qualification
    1. Office Assistant & Officer Scale I:
      • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
    2. Officer Scale II & III:
      • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or specialization with experience for higher posts.

Exam Structure

  • Preliminary Exam:

    • English: Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Error Spotting.
    • Quantitative Aptitude: Arithmetic, Simplification, Data Interpretation, Algebra.
    • Reasoning Ability: Puzzles, Syllogisms, Seating Arrangements, Blood Relations.

    Main Exam:

    • Reasoning: Advanced puzzles, Input-Output, Logical Reasoning.
    • Computer Aptitude: Basics of Computer, Internet, Networking.
    • General Awareness: Banking, Financial Awareness, Current Affairs.
    • English Language: Writing skills, Advanced Comprehension.

    Selection Process

    1. Preliminary Exam

    • Total Marks: 100
    • Duration: 1 hour
    • Sections:
      • English Language: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
      • Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Questions (35 Marks)
      • Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks)

    2. Main Exam

    • Total Marks: 225
    • Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes

    3. Interview

    • Total Marks: 100 (final weightage: 20%).

    Final Selection: Combined scores from the Mains (80%) and Interview (20%).

    Salary and Benefits

    • Office Assistant (Multipurpose):
      • In-Hand Salary: ₹15,000–₹20,000
      • Gross Salary: ₹25,000–₹30,000 (including allowances).
      Officer Scale I:
      • In-Hand Salary: ₹30,000–₹35,000
      • Gross Salary: ₹40,000–₹45,000.
      Officer Scale II:
      • In-Hand Salary: ₹40,000–₹50,000
      • Gross Salary: ₹55,000–₹65,000.
      Officer Scale III:
      • In-Hand Salary: ₹50,000–₹60,000
      • Gross Salary: ₹70,000–₹80,000.

    Preparation Tips

    • Understand the syllabus for both Prelims and Mains.
    • Focus on professional knowledge, especially for Mains.
