RRB Sub Inspector

Purpose

  • The RRB Sub Inspector (SI) position is part of the recruitment process for the Railway Protection Force (RPF), which is responsible for the security and protection of railway passengers, passenger areas, and railway property.

Exam Structure

Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Duration: 90 minutes.
  • Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT)The PET/PMT is qualifying in nature and ensures candidates meet physical standards.
  • Stage 3: Document Verification (DV)

    Candidates qualifying the PET/PMT are called for document verification.

  • Stage 4: Medical Examination

    Candidates undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the medical standards set by the Railways.

Selection Process

Physical Standards:

  • Height:
    • Male (General/OBC): 165 cm; (SC/ST): 160 cm.
    • Female (General/OBC): 157 cm; (SC/ST): 152 cm.
  • Chest (For Males Only):
    • Unexpanded: 80 cm; Expanded: 85 cm (5 cm expansion required).
  • Weight (For Females):
    • Proportional to height and age.

Basic Pay:
