Purpose
- The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions are two key career opportunities for individuals in academia. Both are part of the National Eligibility Test (NET) and State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) systems, which are conducted by national or state-level agencies to assess the eligibility of candidates for academic positions in Indian universities and colleges.
Application Process

Elgibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Educational Qualification:Master’s degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD).
- Age Limit:
- JRF : Maximum 28 years (with relaxations as per rules).
- No upper age limit for Assistant Professor

Exam Structure

Salary and Benefits
- ₹31,000 per month (first 2 years)
- ₹35,000 per month (next 3 years)-JRF
- Basic – Pay₹57,700 per month (Basic Pay, Pay Level 10)- Assistant Professor.
